TEXAS TRIP RECAP

I had the BEST Christmas in Texas this year! It is so fun to go back home and celebrate with your family, and I definitely missed Texas a ton. We did so many things while we were there it was seriously the best!

I got to start out the trip going to see the Nutcracker with my Mom! Neither of us had ever heard the story of the Nutcracker or seen a dance of the Nutcracker so it was such a fun experience to share with my Mom

Then we attended a family ugly sweater party on Christmas Eve! (Just so yall know, my sweater sings, so im pretty sure I won the contest)

Christmas Day, we had my dads family over for dinner and had THE BEST brisket and Kalua Pork, im pretty sure I gained 7 pounds just that night, thank goodness its a new year and i'm attempting to work out now
Also how cute it my mom?

I got to celebrate my childhood best friends weddings at their combined bridal shower and it was seriously so fun to see everyone i grew up with! (And yes they match and its the cutest thing ever)

We were able to go to Downtown Dallas and visit my Uncle Richards restaurant, The Dallas Fish Market, and it was seriously the most amazing food ive ever had. He's the Chef there and because we're family we got a bunch of fun hors d'oeuvres that weren't on the menu, perks of being fam! Needless to say i HIGHLY recommend this wonderful place, and will for sure be visiting there every single time i head back to texas

We got to attend the Gaylord Ice Exhibit this year, and it was so fun, and so freezing!! My husband and i found a polynesian girl and a scottish boy holding hands and of course had to take a picture (its on my instagram if youre looking for it) and I got to have my cute cousin with us all day an night, so obviously we had to go get ice cream too.

New Years Eve we went and walked around Downtown McKinney and ate at the cutest hole-in-the-wall pizza place called the Mellow Mushroom, it was the best pizza crust ive ever had, and thats saying something cause I am so picky about pizza crust, and this one what a whole wheat pizza crust that was the tastiest ever!

New Years Day we went to my favorite place ever, Top Golf!! (Theyre putting one in Utah soon and I could scream im SOOOO EXCITED!!) I absolutely suck at Golf, but could go to Top Golf literally every single day of my life.

The last day we were in Texas was the busiest and most fun for sure!! It started out racing go-karts at K1 Speed in Arlington (theres one in Sandy Utah too which we will of course be going to all the time). Then we got to take my husband to tour the Dallas Cowboys Stadium, where he attempted a back flip and ate it so hard! Ill have to post it up later cause of course I got it on film, and in SLOW MOTION! Its seriously the best! After we were done with the Cowboys stadium, we went to Pappasitos Cantina in Irving and had the yummiest fajitas ever! I for sure gained weight this trip, but im not even worried cause the food and fun was so worth it!

I seriously couldn't feel more blessed from this amazing trip to Texas and am so beyond grateful for my AMAZING parents who absolutely spoiled us. Im so lucky to have the greatest humans in my life who love to do the funnest things! See you again Texas!

xoxo Leilani
